  • When it comes to personal growth and dealing with life's challenges, many individuals are familiar with therapy but might not fully understand how coaching can also be a transformative option. Here’s a breakdown of the key differences and how coaching might be the right choice for you.

    Focus on Present and Future

While therapy often delves into past experiences to address current mental health issues, coaching focuses on the present and future. It's about moving forward, setting personal and professional goals, and devising strategies to achieve them. If you’re looking to actively shape your future and create tangible outcomes, coaching provides the framework and support to do just that.

    Goal-Oriented Approach:

Coaching is inherently goal-oriented. Coaches work with clients to identify specific goals—whether they’re related to career, relationships, or personal well-being—and help them craft actionable plans to achieve these objectives. This practical approach is perfect for individuals who are eager to see concrete results and improvements in their lives.

    Empowerment and Self-Efficacy:

Coaches empower you to discover your solutions and strategies, fostering a sense of self-reliance and confidence. This empowerment is key to coaching’s effectiveness, as it encourages ongoing personal development and self-efficacy, equipping you with the tools to manage future challenges independently.

    Shorter Duration and Specific Outcomes:

Coaching sessions are typically structured over a shorter period than therapy and are focused on achieving specific outcomes. This makes coaching a great option for individuals looking for a boost in a particular area of their life without committing to long-term therapy.

    Actionable and Accountable:

Coaching involves active participation and accountability, with regular assessments of your progress towards your goals. This accountability helps maintain your motivation and commitment to your personal growth journey. Coaches provide feedback and adjustments to plans ensuring that you remain aligned with your objectives.

    Complementary to Various Life Stages:

Whether you’re transitioning careers, starting a new business, or simply looking to improve your interpersonal relationships, coaching can be tailored to suit your unique circumstances and aspirations. It complements various life stages by focusing on where you are now and where you want to be.

    Flexibility and Innovation:

Coaching often incorporates innovative methods and tools, such as SMS journaling prompts and digital tracking of progress, making it a dynamic and adaptable approach to personal development.

Try Coaching for a Fresh Perspective:

If you find yourself at a crossroads, seeking to enhance your life without the need for delving into the past, coaching offers a refreshing, forward-looking approach. It’s about crafting a future that aligns with your values and aspirations, and it equips you with the tools to continue growing long

Testimonials

I was stuck reliving the past instead of living in the moment. It was like being on a tightrope with no safety net. That was until I met Coach Jillian. Under her guidance, I was able to find me again. It was like she could see the "finished product" long before I could. She taught me that self care is more about me being self aware, and doesn't equate to selfishness. Jillian taught me to celebrate when I reached my goals big and small. I learned to appreciate the setbacks by viewing them as minor stumbling blocks that may detour me momentarily, but will propel me into a better direction. I took control of my thoughts, actions, and emotions versus them controlling me. Her creativity, empathetic nature, and genuine desire to help sets her far above the rest. Phalyn B.

“Jillian is amazing! When I first started seeing Jillian, I wasn’t in a good place, struggling with PTSD, anxiety and depression. She gave me the tools I needed and coached me how to create a whole health approach to overcoming my demons. She taught me about self care and giving myself grace when I backslid on my goals. I am in a much better place now since starting with her and I will be forever grateful to her!! I give her 20 out of 10 stars!!”— Liz D.

For those in my local area, I also provide in-person sessions upon request, including ketamine-assisted coaching. If you're interested in this option, please contact me for more information or visit my good friends over at The Good Drop
